Apple on Thursday released iOS 17.3.1, a point release update for iOS 17.3. According to the release notes, the update includes bug fixes, including a fix for when “text may unexpectedly duplicate or overlap while typing.” Macworld spotted testing of the update earlier this week.
According to the Apple security releases website, “This update has no published CVE entries,” which means it does not contain security patches that address issues filed in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) database. The iOS 17.3.1 release comes after a report earlier this week that Apple was preparing the update.
Apple is also working on iOS 17.4, which brings new emoji and other features, as well as major changes to the App Store in the European Union. That update is expected to arrive in late February or early March. Apple also released macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 with the same fix and watchOS 10.3.1 with unknown “improvements and bug fixes.”
