It’s easy to forget how big chargers used to be. Gallium nitride (GaN) technology has not only shrunk the size of chargers, but it’s also allowed for higher supported wattages.
GaN technology enabled Ugreen to make the ideal charger to take on a trip. With dimensions of 2.8 by 2.8 by 1.3 inches (70 by 70 by 33 millimeters), the Nexode Pro 160W 4-Port GaN Fast Charger fits in the palm of your hand–yet it can provide the power you need for your devices.
The Nexode Pro 160W has three USB-C ports and a USB-A port. Its first port, labeled USB-C1, can output 140 watts when none of the other ports are in use. That’s enough power to change a MacBook Pro battery from zero to 85 precent in just one hour–from a charger that’s 21 percent smaller than Apple’s 140W USB-C adapter. Depending on how many other devices are connected, that USB-C1 port’s charrge is lowered to 100W or 65W.
Ugreen uses what it calls “Ugreen Thermal Guard”, which monitors temperature changes in real time and ensures that the battery is not damaged during charging.

In addition to working with all Apple products, the Nexode Pro 160W supports Power Delivery (PD), Quick Charge (QC), SuperCharge Protocol (SCP), adaptive fast charging (AFC), programmable power supply (PPS), and Super Fast Charging 2.0.
The Nexode Pro 160W is $120/£120, which is more expensive that Apple’s $99/£99 140W USB-C Power Adapter. But Apple’s device has only one port, which means only one device at a time can be connected. And Apple’s device is larger, taking up more space in your bag.
Should you buy the Ugreen Nexode Pro 160W 4-Port GaN Fast Charger?
